We are pleased to announce our  first MyOpenCity hackathon. Its goal is to get the OGDI DataLab documentation for version 5 to its final level.

So, the task is simple – download and install the OGDI DataPublic on Azure, and record the steps you perform. Then right them down and include the important screen shots. One extra tip: you can use a 90-day trial version of Windows Azure to do the installation.

We will review all documentation and reward the best one. And we are so proud to announce that Microsoft Canada and Make Web Not War are our main sponsors. Thank you guys!

The simple rules

  • The deadline to submit your documentation is 10 June 2012.
  • The format you need to use if anything compatible with Microsoft Word 2007 or higher.
  • All submissions are considered final.
  • Everything you submit becomes public property so anyone can use it as a whole or any parts of it. We will probably publish it on our site.
